Here are ways we serve the community:
1. Prepare Bagged Lunches
- Make bagged lunches with sandwiches, snacks, and drinks, then distribute them to people experiencing homelessness or in need.
2. Create Hygiene Kits
- Assemble kits with essential toiletries like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, and hand sanitizer, and give them to people you encounter in need.
3. Host a Neighborhood Clothing Drive
- Collect gently used clothes from your community and distribute them to families in need or set up a free clothing station in a public area.
4. Cook and Share Meals
- Prepare home-cooked meals and distribute them to individuals or families in need, or share meals with neighbors going through difficult times.
5. Make Blankets
- Create no-sew fleece blankets or knitted blankets and give them to people who are homeless or to those living in shelters.
6. School Supply Donations
- Collect and package school supplies like notebooks, pencils, and backpacks, and donate them directly to students in your neighborhood who may need them.
7. Write Encouraging Notes or Cards
- Create cards or letters of encouragement and hand them out to people in hospitals, senior living homes, or even just neighbors.
8. Start a Neighborhood Cleanup
- Gather friends or family to clean up litter in your neighborhood or local parks to keep public spaces clean and beautiful.
9. Prepare Snack Packs for Kids
- Make small packs with healthy snacks like fruit, granola bars, and water bottles, and distribute them to kids in need after school hours.
10. Care Packages for Seniors
- Assemble packages with items like snacks, puzzle books, and hand-written notes, and deliver them directly to elderly neighbors who may be isolated or lonely.
